This notice explains how The Taiwan Shop collects and uses personal data to provide the shop service.

Data and purposes

• Orders, payments, refunds, and logistics: name, phone, email, pickup store, goods, amounts, and service identifiers for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, returns, and accounting.
• Newsletter and back-in-stock alerts: the email, language, and product you provide for messages you request.
• Bulk requests: name, email, optional mobile number, contact method, product, quantity, date, organization, and notes so we can respond. Sending a request does not subscribe you to marketing.
• Reviews: display name, rating, text, locale, date, and product may be public. An internal order link verifies a purchase. The public data contains only a verified boolean, never the order number or contact details.

Without a name, phone, and store we cannot complete convenience-store delivery. The shop does not receive or store full card numbers.

Recipients

Data needed to complete a service may be shared with ECPay payment and logistics, the chosen store chain, and transactional email delivery. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and rights

Categories are handled and kept for fulfillment, support, accounting, disputes, and legal duties. Email [email protected] to request access, a copy, correction, restricted use, or deletion. Applicable legal or dispute holds take priority.

Marketing email includes unsubscribe. Necessary transaction and support messages are not marketing.

Browser storage for shopping and rewards

We use browser local storage for your cart and game reward. The night-market game uses a random guest cookie lasting up to one year and a recovery identifier in local storage, which remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. The server retains a hash of that identifier and your latest reward code, discount, and expiry to recover the reward and prevent another draw for the same guest while it is valid. The 60-minute limit applies to coupon use, not deletion of all records. These records contain no name, email address, or device fingerprint and do not subscribe you to marketing. Clearing browser data may prevent recovery. Use the contact email on this page for data-rights requests.

Order notification email

Email is required for every new order, including cash on delivery, for confirmation, delivery, pickup-ready, and necessary payment, refund, and support updates. A new order cannot be completed without an email address. Providing it does not subscribe you to marketing. Pickup-ready emails follow verified carrier updates, which can be delayed; also check the carrier's pickup SMS.
